Description:
The Straßfried ruin is located near the Austrian-Italian border town of Arnoldstein. The castle was built in the first half of the 13th century.
In the course of the 18th century, the fortress began to decay and was completely destroyed during the French invasion in 1797, leaving only rubble behind.
