Description:
Cerro Canoitas (2650 m asl) is an excellent one-day (or less) ascent alternative, located in the valley of the Río San Francisco, east of the Los Bronces mine road. Reaching its summit involves a hike of about 4.5 kilometers (one way) and 1000 meters of elevation gain from the vehicle. Its route follows a marked trail that gains height on its east face, through the south slope of a quebrada in the sector.
