Description: The national nature monument Bystré Waterfall is located on the southern slopes of Poľana, about 8 km north of Hriňová. It can boast of its 23-meter height, thanks to which it ranks not only among the highest but also the most powerful Slovak waterfalls. The waterfall was formed about 13.5 million years ago by the solidification of lava. From it were created black andesite blocks, which today resemble large cubes over which the roaring stream of the waterfall flows.
