FEATURES - The neglected Santa Maria valley and the snubbed Giusto Gervasutti bivouac deserve much more! A valley that starts closed hiding its great beauty which gradually opens up, traversed by a demanding but well-walkable and never exposed trail ending in the spectacular sandy funnel of Forcella Spe. A certainly little frequented bivouac, since the Marini trail (connecting it to Rifugio Pordenone) was abandoned, perched in a sacristy of the cathedral of nature, where pinnacles and organ pipes draw improbable and magnificent profiles. Finally for the boldest the ascent to the roof of Cima Cadin degli Elmi, to enjoy a truly unique panorama. Is that enough?
