Description: Arriving at Mezzolago in the Municipality of Ledro (Trento) and leaving the car in the parking lot of the small lakeside village, we set off (8:00) following the signs for Dromaè, Cima d'Oro. Reaching the dirt road that climbs the 'Coste di Salò', we soon abandon it for the wooded 'Sentiero Botanico', rich in trees and splendid autumn colors. Then, crossing the dirt road again, we reach the 'Sella' location (1425 m - 9:40) from which the entire Lago di Ledro is clearly visible. From there begins the 'Sentiero austroungarico', with remains of trenches from the 'Great War 1915-1918'. The old Austrian military route is winding, with positions and rock-carved artifacts, at the end of which stood the 'Osservatorio', now a large cross (1680 m - 10:30). The 'Cima d'Oro' (1802 m) is now visible and following the trenches we reach it at 10:45. After a short stop, with fog and wind, we continue downhill along a grassy ridge towards 'Bocca Dromaè' (1680 m – 11:25). Then, deciding to climb directly from there towards 'Cima Pari' following a faint track, we reach the summit cross (1990 m) at 12:10. A strong cold wind blows so we decide to descend immediately towards 'Bocca di Saval' (1739 m), finding shelter (for a snack) at 'Malga Saval'. Now our path is all downhill. Trail no. 454 leads to Pieve di Ledro, but at 'Sella di Monte Cocca' a branch forks off to Mezzolago. A few dozen meters away is the unexpected summit (1404 m), from the top of which we had the last lakeside panorama and the last photos of our excursion. We reach Mezzolago (where we started) at 15:00.
