Long but rewarding hike
Mount Pagano is part of the Rhaetian Alps and is located in the Valle del Mortirolo, in the province of Brescia on the border with Valtellina.
The summit is surrounded by the remains of Forte Pagano, which was part of the Cadorna Line; the fort was built during the First World War with dry stone walls as a rear of the main war front and was never directly involved in battles.
