21-12-2022: Climbing from Campo you reach the remains of Borgo di San Daniele; once a flourishing and vital village, especially thanks to its little church. We then arrive at Forcella San Daniele; an ancient crossroads that connects three villages: Alano, Campo, Schievenin. We notice how the trail guards the remains of many other old huts, whose particular structures take us back in time. Continuing, one immerses in a trail overlooking the village of Schievenin and Val di Prada. This section reveals a fascinating panorama. We proceed along dirt road sections and find many well-kept huts. Their stories are still passed down; an example is Baita Lucia, according to which in 1917 during the First World War refugees were found due to the Austro-German invasion. Pay attention to some landslide-prone passages along the path.
