Description: Hi everyone, for this new hike I suggest discovering a unique site in the world, no fear of words, the famous and unique Cirque de Gavarnie. Upon arriving at the village, the view is grandiose. The classic route follows the gave de Pau to Hôtellerie du Cirque, even to the great cascade. Then simply return the same way. To break this ritual a bit, I suggest a loop (doable both ways). So at the hôtellerie, we go around the buildings on the right to take the little-known chemin de Pailla. It's a balcony path, a ledge rising to the Pailla plateau and refuge. To enhance this loop, we'll go to refuge des Espuguettes, which has an extraordinary view over much of the Cirque, notably pics Taillon, Casque, Tour, Brèche de Roland, as well as a fine view of Vignemale and its glacier. To finish the loop, return via HRP, very good trail, to the village. The day was forecast sunny in the morning and disturbed at the end, ultimately we saw the sun only a few minutes...
