Description:
After the ascent to Klek, the university professor from Graz, Dr. Johanes Frischauf, meets in the Ogulin tavern in front of the then county building with Budo Budisavljević and Vladimir Mažuranić (grandson of Ban I. Mažuranić). This meeting was the direct impetus on the basis of which the Croatian Mountaineering Society was founded in Zagreb in 1874. Thus, Klek is the cradle of Croatian mountaineering.
