Description: Mount Argentera is the highest mountain in the Maritime Alps. The normal ascent of Argentera is certainly one of the most beautiful in the western Alps. Argentera includes several summits, the south summit is the highest at 3297m. The route is marked as expert hiking EE, then above 3000m it becomes an alpine climb of grade PD. The most interesting part is certainly the one called 'cengia'. A narrow overhanging path at 3200m, where you are always exposed to a void of over 100m. There is no margin for error.
