MAMMUT brings Dammkarwurm to life

Over 120 MAMMUT fans from all over Germany breathed life into the legendary "Dammkarwurm" in the Karwendel last Sunday. This phenomenon known from the early 1930s was once a symbol of people's passion for ski mountaineering – and became a symbol of this passion of MAMMUT customers as part of the 150 Peaks Project. In the past, people came in droves with special trains from all over southern Germany, wooden planks on their shoulders, to ascend to the Karwendel peaks through the Dammkar. The images of the legendary Dammkarwurm are today indispensable from alpine history.
