Description: DEFENSIVE BUNKERS IN PETRŽALKA ️
Hundreds of defensive structures were built in Slovakia, part of a fortification line stretching from Ostrava through northern and southern Moravia to Slovakia and Subcarpathian Ukraine (then part of Czechoslovakia), forming coherent defensive sections. Not all structures have been preserved. Those still found today are in the Morava River valley, in Komárno, and also in Bratislava. The only complete system is in Petržalka, where the bunkers follow the state border. They start at Karloveské rameno, pass around the Berg border crossing, the Kopčany and Lúky settlements, Chorvátske rameno, and end again at the Danube.
