Description:
Video of the hike on Monte Col and to the bivouac Al Cadon del Monte Col. I did a loop starting from Campolongo near Baita Pian dei Osei, ascending to the summit, passing the bivouac and descending to Santo Stefano di Cadore for a total of about 15.5 km and 1200 meters elevation gain. From the summit at 2079 meters, stunning panorama on Crode di Mezzo, Brentoni, Pupera Valgrande and Crissin to the south. To the east view on Rinaldo, Righile, Terze and Passo Digola, and north view on Comelico and border peaks (Crode dei Longerin, Monte Zovo, Palombino, Cavallino and Col Quaternà). The bivouac, very well maintained, is equipped with a comfortable table, stove, four beds and a loft with other sleeping places. Wonderful view on the southern mountains, the summit itself and the end part of Lago di Cadore.
