A leap into the past is reaching the magical atmospheres of Erice. 'On the highest peak in the sky a medieval village bristling with towers. It is the small village of Erice, once dominated by the most famous temple of the most famous goddess, Venus.' With these admiring words, in 1952, the French writer Roger Peyrefitte described the timeless beauty of Erice, a Sicilian town in the province of Trapani, clinging to a mountain at 750 meters altitude.
