Description:
The Falkensteig via ferrata is a beautifully successful route with some crisp sections of difficulty 'D'. These compensate for the occasionally grassy spots in between. However, with snow and ice, it should not be underestimated. In bad weather, the difficulty easily increases by one level, turning the route into a real power effort. Just below the exit is the key section. You have to downclimb a few overhanging meters. Other highlights are the wire bridge, steep ramp, dihedrals, and the grandiose view from the Falkert summit over all of Kärnten. Overall, a worthwhile adventure!
