The Ristorante Capanna Alpina is located at the beginning of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Natural Park.
From the starting point, one ascends continuously in a magnificent Dolomite environment to a splendid hut, Rifugio Scotoni, a charming alpine lake, Lago Lagazuoi, and a panoramic hut, Rifugio Lagazuoi. The itinerary is almost entirely a loop and runs at the foot of the rocky walls of the Fanis Group or Fanes Group/Fanesgruppe. Near Rifugio Lagazuoi, the remains of fortifications dating back to the First World War can be visited.
