From Malga Sorgazza to Cima d'Asta Lagorai

12-08-2015: (Recordings made with Samsung HMX-H100P/EDS Video Camera) Starting point for the hike is Malga Sorgazza 1451 m a.s.l. From the parking lot continue on dirt road, SAT 327 trail passing by a small lake and the monument to the fallen of the First World War. Reach a junction with SAT 386 trail, which will be the return route, and continue on 327 to the cable car cabin of rifugio Cima D'Asta Teleferica Brusà 1647 m a.s.l. Continue on SAT 380 trail in about 1h30 reach Forcella Magna 2117 m a.s.l. From the saddle starts the trail to ferrata Giulio Gabrielli SAT 326, passing Cima Tellina 2341 m a.s.l. The trail ascends with moderate slope, at the end of the ascent reach a junction with signs on a boulder and trail markers for trail 375 ferrata Giulio Gabrielli, and continuation of SAT 326 normal route to rifugio Cima D'Asta. Continue ascending along SAT 375. Ferrata Giulio Gabrielli is divided into two parts. It is not particularly difficult, medium difficulty, with a travel time of about 30 minutes. The first section is on rock passages. After this ferrata part continue on trail with ups and downs with rock passages. After about 10 minutes reach the start of the second ferrata section, a vertical wall of Cima Socede 2376 m a.s.l. of modest difficulty served by artificial steps. At the end of the ferrata continue on grassy terrain along Cresta di Socede towards Cima Col Verde 2566 m a.s.l. From Cima Col Verde it's not far to the refuge about 15 minutes, both the lake and the refuge and Cima D'Asta are well visible. Descend along a grassy slope towards Lago Cima D'Asta, then continue to rifugio Cima D'Asta O. Brentari. From rifugio Brentari we climb to Cima d'Asta and return via the endless trail 386 which in 3.30h brings us back to Malga Sorgazza our starting point.
