Description: 03-07-2022: Ascent to Monte Coppolo from Passo del Brocon. Route Km. 8.800. Elevation gain mt. 430. It is the mountain of Lamòn, the bean village, but it is reached much more easily from Passo Brocon. Two-faced mountain equipped with three distinct summits, Coppolo with its long ridge marks the boundary between the true Lagorai mountains and the Venetian prealps, between the alpine realm and that of the woods, where the Roman consular road from Feltre to Trento (Claudia Augusta Altinate) wedged in. Monte Coppolo consists of an articulated rocky ridge oriented east-west and equipped with three distinct elevations. The westernmost (m 2069) is Coppolo itself, the central one (m 2062) is the rockiest and most alpine and is reached only by climbing. Finally the eastern one (m 2033) is the least attractive, to be considered only by those undertaking the complete loop that returns to Malga Arpaco passing through Malga Valarica di Sotto, thus cutting the wide basin of woods and pastures between Coppolo and Passo Brocon.
