Along the Marche coastline, where the Tesino river plunges into the bright blue of the Adriatic Sea, rises the seaside town of Grottammare, jewel of the province of Ascoli Piceno, with its historic core considered one of Italy's most beautiful villages. Populated by about 15 thousand inhabitants and guardian of timeless peace, the locality is embraced by a varied and smiling landscape that seems to welcome arriving visitors with hospitality: the little houses and streets develop along the coastline, breathing the salty breeze, then climbing up to the first hills of the hinterland, where the famous medieval village develops.
