Umbertide (PG) located in the upper valley of the Tiber, crossed by the same Tiber and the Reggia stream (or Regghia), features a characteristic historic center still surrounded by medieval walls in the sections along the watercourses. Important center for metalworking, textiles, packaging and industrial ceramics, but also tobacco cultivation and organic farming. The city's historic center underwent a deep and massive stylistic and historical redevelopment intervention; the intervention, carried out and completed in 2011, led to the creation of the new Market Square and the new Park along the Reggia, which partly restored the original conditions of the area.
