Description: A mix of Ireland, Norway and the Caribbean – that's Galicia, Spain's green north with Celtic heritage. Judith Rakers explores the high cliffs, nature parks with waterfalls and dense forests, fjord-like sea inlets and the dreamy beaches of the uninhabited island paradise Islas Cies. On the Camino de Santiago she pilgrimages to Santiago de Compostela and visits the impressive cathedral. That fishing and mussel farming are still very important for the people in Galicia today, Judith Rakers experiences up close: In Porto de Corme she meets women who knot huge fishing nets by hand, and she goes out with a fisherwoman to collect razor clams.
