Description:
Allegedly the highest grass mountain in Europe 2467 m. In winter with ideal conditions, like our 'puiva'-dream, a top-class ski tour. Start in Großarltal just before Hüttschlag at the Hinterfeld parking lot below the last farm 1160 m. Tofernwaldstraße to Harbachalm 1621 m and along the summer path to Tofernalm 1820 m. Further ascent below the fantastic east slopes of Gamskarkogel to Tofernscharte and to the summit with Bad Gasteinerhütte. Descent only under safe conditions the steep east cirques directly from Gamskarkogel. From Tofernalm not the summer path but the steep forest directly to Harbachalm. Back on Tofernwaldstraße to the starting point finally across the field below the farm to the parking lot. 1300 elevation meters
