From Malga Ciapela follow the gravel road that crosses the campsite and continues into the forest.
Following trail 610 we take the shortcut to climb, which with some switchbacks reaches Valle Ombretta where Malga Ombretta is located. We then continue on a false flat among meadows and larch woods up to under the south wall of Marmolada, the “parete d’argento”, and after a short elevation gain we reach rifugio Onorio Falier at Ombretta 2074 m.
