We ascend the valley of the Dudh Koshi River below the eight-thousander Cho Oyu to the settlement of Gokyo, located at 4760 meters above sea level. We stay here for a few days and climb to the summit of Gokyo Ri, 5360 meters high. This is essentially the goal of this expedition.
