In 2007, we visited the first real Mountain Film Festival in our country. It took place in Ljubljana and Domžale, modeled after renowned foreign mountaineering festivals. Already in the first year, it was well received by visitors. Over fourteen years, under the leadership of the tireless Silvo Karo, it has become internationally recognized and expanded to several places in Slovenia. The number of visitors, interesting foreign films, and renowned lecturers increases year by year.
