This is a throwback episode from 2011 from pre-Youtube Ryan. The Yosemite culture is to do epic projects in a day and doing an ultra day hike sounded like fun, mostly because people said I shouldn't do it! :) I trained for the Rim to Rim to Rim Grand Canyon hike by hiking Half Dome 2x in one day. Just as I thought I was pretty special half way up the 2nd lap on Half Dome, a real marathon hiker told me they did in 3x in a day (in the same amount of time it took me to do it 2x in a day) haha. This video isn't super helpful for logistics but I still have my notes so if you are interested in those or have questions about this please feel free to message me.
