Description:
The Große Bärenkopf (also Weißer Bärenkopf) is a mountain consisting of two peaks of the Glockner Group in the Fuscher/Kapruner Kamm of the Hohe Tauern. The mountain lies exactly on the border between the Austrian federal states of Salzburg and Carinthia and is the only mountain in Carinthia north of the Alpine main ridge. The main peak is 3396 m high.
