Description: Today we head to a rather unknown 3000er. The Große Möseler is the second highest mountain in the Zillertal Alps. The ascent from the north is very varied, offering climbing sections UIAA I-II and up to 35° steep glacier slopes. Unlike described in many guidebooks, the Schlegeiskees is not left via the gully but over the west ridge. The gully is no longer safely passable most of the year. The key section is, in my opinion, the traverse from the west ridge to the old normal route above the scree gully. The terrain there is steeper and very brittle. Great caution and secure climbing are required there.
