Description:
The approx. 500 m forest ridge running from Gumsenkogel to Bauernkogel appears quite modest compared to the peaks rising behind it, Zwillingskogel and Steineck. The southeastern corner pillar (Gumsenkogel) is adorned with an orange survey pole with summit log, while the slightly higher one to the NE appears thinned by windthrow. The farmers settled at the foot of Bauernkogel - which is also in their possession - ultimately account for the naming.
