The trail is divided between nature, art, and history, and is of great interest regarding the Great War. It is not the classic trail that recounts the War with historical units and such, but this itinerary born in 2014 aims to tell the many lives broken on the battlefields, the fears and feelings of the soldiers who found themselves fighting. The hike is accompanied along the path by works of art that will make you reflect on the themes of war, peace, and "heroes" while walking immersed in the typical quiet of the forest. The itinerary takes place in an area that made the history of the Great War, to the south is Monte Grappa, to the west Pertica, to the north Monte Prassolan, to the east Col dell’Orso. The trail also meets the famous ridge of Ca’ Tasson, one of the strategic places that hosted epic clashes and numerous trenches both Italian and Austrian. This trail is accompanied by various wooden sculptures, made over the years by different local artists, which tell the moods and emotions of the soldiers who trod these lands in wartime. The Conca delle Bocchette is also an excellent agricultural area, thanks to the numerous glacial origin meadow basins present, it is perfect for alpine pasturing since time immemorial. Not one but two trails are available in this area, one 5 km (about 1h 30 min) and one 10 km (about 3h). The hike is almost always in the shade of white and red firs, for some sections it follows the ancient Cadorna mule track, the naturalistic ring of Grappa (Belluno side) and the Alta Via degli Eroi. 10km itinerary Starting from Rifugio le Bocchette proceed on the false flat to Ca’ Tasson where you will see two rock spurs that served as outposts for the opposing armies. From here proceed to Cason dei Lebi to reach the Valpore educational center. Once at the center proceed to Rifugio le Bocchette and the itinerary is complete.
