Description:
The Maderaner Valley is like a fairy-tale valley with its wildly beautiful waterfalls. Starting from Golzern gondola station I hiked up to the Windgällenhütte (have a drink there, while you're at it), then along the panorama trail towards the back of the valley across numerous waterways. You get breathtaking views of high waterfalls on the other side of the valley. Once you descend and are on the way back you look up at the waterfalls coming down on your side of the valley. It feels like a magical place. The hike takes about 5 1/2 hours, but I added 3 hours of sitting around and drinking in the views...
