The Drachenfels is a mountain in the Siebengebirge on the Rhine between Königswinter and Bad Honnef. Due to its striking appearance above the Rhine Valley, the ruins of Drachenfels Castle, its use as a motif in Rhine Romanticism, and early tourist development, it gained fame – despite its height of just 321 m above NHN.
