1400 meters of height difference, from the Walenstadtberg Dorf bus station up to the gondola station on top of Chäserrugg, one of the Churfirsten range mountains... It's a steep and strenuous climb, you will find yourself thinking 'Seriously?' when you look up to where you're going from where you got off the bus, but the views from the top, once you get there, are worth it. Of course, you could simply take the gondola from the other side of the mountain... But the views on the way up and lunch in Alp Tschingla are worth it too!
