Strength is fundamental for the trail runner to perform this sport while also helping prevent injuries. Today it was about doing hill series on the terrain. Normally, easy-to-run hills are sought, but today they are in the natural environment where you run. Apart from working cardiovascularly, strength, etc. ... muscular proprioception is worked, since the terrain is unstable. If we add snow to that ... even better. I love this series of exercises, because doing them on asphalt is not as exciting nor do you get as much out of them as doing them on trails. Today we had a completely snow-covered trail and had to work miracles not to fall. Very very fun training.
