Over good 10 km you gain 1,300 uphill meters i.e. 130 Hm/km!
With own muscle power a tough task - we managed it again!!! Reward for the ordeal: dreamlike panorama over Lienzer Dolomiten to Großglockner - well-deserved stop at Hochsteinhütte (if needed, 3 dumplings for soup on the menu). The round continues to Hochstein summit and right behind - though not entirely legal (better avoid on busy hiking days) - the Pustertaler Panoramaweg a flowy trail winding gently interval high above Pustertal with only few interruptions, but unfortunately only short - until the racy signposted alpine road. Follow it in descent - accompanied by fantastic panorama of Lienzer Dolomiten - to Dörfl and on to Thal. Cross the road here and follow Drauradweg always falling to Lienz. Top-notch but very hard round due to the brutal uphill!
