The Hohe Riffler at 3168 m is the highest peak of the Verwallgruppe and lies entirely in the east of the area, in the Austrian state of Tyrol.
From Malfon parking lot along a wide forest path along the Malfonbach to Malfonalpe. From here continue towards Edmund-Graf-Hütte (stop obligatory). From the hut via Karl-Handl-Steig over scree fields and small climbing sections to the saddle between the small and large Riffler.
