Description:
Hornstrandir in NW Iceland is a nature reserve accessible only by boat steered by experienced sailors from Isafjördur or Bolungarvik.
Overnight in huts or tent, no food supplies on site, many fish, seabirds and the polar fox repeatedly beside hikers from various countries including Iceland. Whether hiking Hornstrandir is offered as a package tour now, I don't know. The agency at the harbor in Isafjördur Westtour 15:45 arranges boat trips on advance booking and possibly catering and coolers.
