Description:
Stahleck Castle is a fortified castle from the 12th century in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley in Bacharach in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is located on a rocky edge about 160 meters above sea level on the left bank of the river at the mouth of the Steeg valley, approximately 50 km south of Koblenz, and provides a magnificent view of the Loreley valley.
