Description: Rio Pitrisconi has become a 'must' of Sardinian aquatic canyoning due to the presence of water almost all year round (very rare in Sardinia). It winds through the massif of Monte Nieddu which rises between the towns of San Teodoro and Padru and along its course gives life to numerous waterfalls, transparent pools and large natural pools. The stream has 10 verticals almost all jumpable (depending on the water flow the depth of the pools varies), only in some is the use of rope and harness mandatory. The highest vertical is 22 m and ends in a nice little lake. Along the descent about 300 m of elevation gain are overcome, easily recoverable thanks to a practical shuttle or a one-hour uphill walk. Throughout the route emotions and lots of fun are guaranteed. Unfortunately the video was shot on a rainy day so the water colors are not as spectacular as usual.
