Description: The spectacular Elighes Artas cave (High Holm Oaks) owes its name to the roots of the holm oaks that have penetrated the subsoil and in some rooms have been completely concreted into the rock. It is a monumental, magical, almost surreal cave where the rock takes on all kinds of shapes and passing from one room to another it seems to enter a new dimension, so many micro-worlds different in shape and composition. Going deeper and deeper one forgets everything, completely captivated by the extreme beauty of the cave that erases every other thought. Small fun difficulties to overcome along the progression, some facilitated by fixed ropes, make Elighes Artas even more fascinating, which gradually allows itself to be conquered without hurrying too much. The last room is truly special, besides various concretions of all kinds, it offers a forest of 'petrified' roots that will remain impressed in the mind for a long time. Overall fairly easy to reach with a 45-minute approach, it appears suddenly with a shaft entrance covered by a grate. The 'star gate' is overcome with a rope descent to 'reborn' after about 10 m in a new dimension.... For the visit to be savored calmly, at least 3 hours should be planned. For the exit, equipment is needed that allows ascent on rope at least for the first and it would be appropriate to set up a pulley for the others.
