Engaging and demanding ring excursion in Valle di Oddoene in Supramonte di Dorgali. The excursion takes place in the spectacular walls bounding Monte Oddeu (1063 m) to the East, characterized by verticality and panoramas. Walls apparently difficult to cross hide 4 'iscalas' of 'alpine shepherds' (more climbers than shepherds) traversable only knowing all key passages to chain without error. S'Iscala Homines closest to Gola di Su Gorropu with hard-to-locate 'attack', winds very airy under Punta S'Iscopargiu offering daring hikers fun rock climbs with frequent exposures (never exaggerated) and unique views. S'Iscala S'Istampu (The Hole) starts south of Monte Oddeu summit distinguished by passage through karst cavity to overcome high bastions. After three rappels to terrace for highest 30 m descent. Stretch doable without ropes (better uphill) with good rock skills. Then quick descent on 'ghiaioni' to close fabulous ring.
