Mount Kanin with its 2587 m is the highest of the Julian Alps, kingdom of limestone and paradise for hikers and alpinists. Like all high-altitude via ferratas, it has strong appeal and gives great emotions that in the end can be put 'black on white' in the summit book that we were the only ones to reach due to very adverse weather conditions. Strong wind, fog, sleet, hail and further down a violent thunderstorm made the ascent more adventurous. PS don't do as we did, always wear the harness!!!
