Description:
Taormina: It is one of the most important international tourist centers of the Sicilian region, known for its natural landscape, marine beauties and historical monuments and was an important stop on the Grand Tour. The climate is typically Mediterranean, without summer heat excesses or winter cold. Summer is long and sunny, but dry, windy and never muggy. Winter is short and gently mild and is the rainiest season. Snow is rare, but has been seen several times over the years during strong cold waves. Notable is the heavy snowfall of 6-7 January 2017, the most intense in over 50 years.
