Description:
Kaiserschild is a relatively short but airy via ferrata of difficulty D/E, built in the southwest wall of the eponymous peak. Its length is 360 m. Access to the via ferrata from the Gemeindealm parking lot takes about 2 hours and leads through high alpine terrain. The via ferrata is beautiful and exposed. In the last quarter, there is a 40-meter-long rope bridge. The belay rope ends about 20 minutes' walk below the summit of Kaiserschild (2084 m), from which a descent route leads.
