One of the most beautiful alpine valleys - Krimmler Achental
Start in Vorderkrimml at the train station. Along the RW to the Krimmler Wasserfälle - Europe's largest waterfall spectacle.
Continue on Gerlospaßstraße - after the 3rd hairpin left immediately on steep gravel road directly to the Obere Achenfall and then through a 300 m long unlit tunnel (headlamp advantageous, as several accidents have occurred due to disorientation) into the beautiful Krimmler Achental. On beautiful gravel road always in light intervals past numerous alpine pastures that also invite to stop - we stopped at Krimmler Tauernhaus - further past the Windbachalm junction (Krimmler Tauern - transition to Ahrntal) to the end of the valley - finally steep ramps again - to the material cableway at the foot of Krimmler Kees and Dreiherrnspitze at 1,850 m
