Description: Today I tell you about the ascent to Krottenkopf in the Bavarian pre-Alps in the Estergebirge. Starting point is Farchant, continuing via Esterbergalm, Farchanter Alm, Weilheimer Hütte and directly to the summit. All in all a quite strenuous and long tour. I was up there at the beginning of May 2016 and there was still some snow, which made the ascent without snowshoes very exhausting.
