Welcome to northern Norway! We are in the Troms og Finnmark county, the northernmost one in the Scandinavian country. To the west of Tromsø, the main city of the region, lies the island of Kvaløya, on the western part of which, between the villages of Tromvik and Rekvik, rises Brosmetinden, a 525-metre-high mountain overlooking the ocean, which offers a stunning panorama. The short hike begins in Gløshaugen and has an altitude difference of about 250 metres. About an hour and twenty minutes away is the island of Sommarøy and Sommarøybrua, the spectacular bridge that divides the two islands. The ideal vantage point is from the summit of Ørnfløya, a mountain located between the bridge and the village of Brensholmen. The summit only requires a 160-metre climb and the view is breathtaking.
