This week we came to Capileira to do our route. We left the car at the La Cebadilla power station (approx. 1,600 m). We ascend along the PR-A 23 trail that leads to the Poqueira refuge, this first section is quite tough, all ascent through a kind of carihuela, but very beautiful due to the surrounding vegetation. We find a fork, if we continue straight we go towards the refuge, we skipped it and began ascending southwest until reaching the pipe coming down from the load chamber. The sun beats strong and now there are no trees for shade. We gain height with each step, ascending slowly, soon we reach the load chamber at 2,100 m.
