Lac de la Balmette 2084m (Belledonne Massif)
Small lake under the north-east face of the Grand Pic de Belledonne.
Round trip time 5h 6h positive elevation gain 800 m
Start Hameau des Roncières above the village Rivier d'Allemont (1300 m); take the Frenet path; reach the stream, follow it up on the left bank following the markers; continue through the pastures with fords; after the Roche Noire valley, climb to a pass and continue along the balcony to Lac de Belledonne; when the path crosses the Articol stream, turn right to the lake following the cairns and orange circles; descend the same way.
