Description:
From Torre di S. Maria, following the signs for alpine huts, we go up the dirt road to the Arcoglio-Piasci junction, where we can park the car (if we do not have a transit permit, we park at the 1000 meters of Musci, at the fourth left hairpin after the S. Giuseppe locality, where a sign indicates the start of a path that climbs through the woods to Pra' Fedugno and cuts the track near this parking lot). From the junction we proceed on the left track to the lower Arcoglio alp (1976 m). Out of the woods in sight of the first huts, we look to the right, where a marked path starts that steeply climbs the grassy slope (north direction), reaching the top of a sort of hill and turning left (west direction). Climbing further on a fairly steep track, we reach the upper Arcoglio alp, guarded by a beautiful isolated church on the right (2123 m). Always following the yellow triangles we continue the ascent towards southwest, overcoming the last rocky step and reaching the basin of Lake Arcoglio (2234 m). Leaving the lake to our left, we look for the markers that direct us to a track that is sometimes barely visible and make us describe a wide arc towards southwest, bringing us to the ridge between Arcoglio alp and Colina alp, at a small grassy saddle. The track continues to the right climbing the side of Sasso Bianco and easily reaching its summit (2490 m). From the summit of Sasso Bianco we descend towards northwest, passing just to the right of Colma di Zana (2417 m), which overlooks Colina alp (Rhaetian slope above Postalesio). We start climbing a short distance from the ridge, in west-northwest direction, among scree and rare pastures we follow the ridge for a good stretch in slight ascent, then we detach from it descending to a basin, then climbing back to a small saddle to the right of a summit made of broken rocks. Beyond the saddle we descend to a wider basin, once reached we undertake the last ascent to a gate (about 2500 m) that allows us to cross the ridge descending from Monte Caldenno (2669 m), to our left. We descend among scree and sparse pastures, towards northwest and then north, until intercepting the track descending to our left from Passo di Caldenno. We turn right and reach Pian delle Pecore, where a large hut is located. The further descent, in northeast direction, allows us to overcome the last hundred meters, reaching Rifugio Bosio at 2086 meters. The return is via the path that follows the bottom of Val Torreggio, proceeding east (we do not cross the stream, but stay on its right). After crossing a corridor, the path descends to Alpe Palù (1971 m), which it crosses flat and diagonally to the right. We proceed for a good stretch east, alternating pine forest sections with clearings, we turn slightly right (southeast) and descend to the hill at 1754 m. Here the path turns left and descends steeply for over a hundred meters, then turns right and climbs slightly to the northern edge of the Piasci meadows, which we cross to the opposite southern edge, where a track arrives. Following it, we reach the parking lot where we left the car.
